Beauty buys: Autumn 2012

I do not proclaim to be a beauty blogger, but I do like my make-up and skincare products. This week I went on a bit of a splurge and picked up some products that I have had my eye on for a while as I had heard such good things about them. I always promise to share the products I find along the way that I like, so here is a sneak peak at my stash.

Bobbi Brown lip-stick, lip gloss and gel eye-liner - I went to the Bobbi Brown counter and had a bridal make-over for my wedding. I then brought the products that I liked the best and my make-up artist on the day did my make-up for me. The good thing about doing it on this way was that I was able to get a whole haul of new make-up. These items have become firm favourites in my make-up collection.

Urban Decay eye-shadow primer - I suffer from greasy eyelids and this works a treat.

Mac tinted moisturiser - I really like the coverage this offers, its nice and light but combined with using my select cover concealer in the problem areas, it gives a really nice natural base.

Feels like Honey Moon Skin Base - This primer received rave reviews in the States as the US bloggers went mad for it when it was included in one the of the Glossybox subscriptions. Although I like it, It hasn't been life-changing so I am yet to decide whether or not I will purchase it again. It is however perfect for those days when you don't want to wear any make-up but also don't want to be completely fresh-faced. Using this and some concealer is adequate for those days when you just cannot be bothered.

Here are my internet purchases which are yet to arrive:

Aztec Indian Facial Clay - This is a natural calcium bentonite clay which is renowned for deep cleansing. I was attracted to this product as I do sometimes experience break-outs and I'm also always on the search for products which reduce pore size, this clay promises to do just that and I am a sucker for a good review.

Biolage Matrix Conditioning Creme - My hairdresser used to use this ages ago when my hair was still relaxed, I looked for it myself at the time but couldn't find it anywhere. It seems it now has wider distribution and so isn't just for the professionals any more  I have been looking for a deep conditioner for a while now so hopefully this will do the job. Also I have been seeing it on a few natural hair blogs so I thought I would give it a try.

Egyptian Magic - This was recommended to me by my friend, she encouraged me to try some whilst we were in Ibiza and I was pleasantly surprised. When I woke up I saw a visible difference, my skin felt smooth and with continued use it's been known to help with reducing scars and pigmentation. Since getting home I've been doing more research and it looks like it is a bit of a cult classic. I love the packaging...so old school!

Apicare beeswax lip balm - I have a thing about lip balm and I'm in a constant pursuit to find the perfect one...until now. This is the best lip balm. Ever. It is made from beeswax, it's natural, it contains SPF 15 and most importantly it keeps lips moisturised for hours. It deserves a post all of it's own, and it shall receive one very soon.
