It's been a long while since we've had a real wedding on the blog and we are certainly back with a bang with this beautiful London wedding which took place at Kew Gardens. Wedding & lifestyle photographer Wani Olatunde was kind of enough to submit this wedding and provide a lovely write-up about it too. You can tell she loves what she does which is so important when picking suppliers for your wedding day. Wani is based in Nigeria and this was her first UK wedding!
So without further ado, here is the wedding of Nana and Gyasi, a Ghanaian-Trinidadian couple based in London.
The ceremony was held at the quaint Raleigh Road United Church in Richmond and the reception was then held at Cambridge Cottage in the stunning Kew Gardens. The day was beautifully put together and guests were well taken care of with a classic big red bus to transport them. The string quartet played during the ceremony, the cocktail hour went down a storm and the decor looked divine. Cute little wooden frames doubled up as both place cards and favours for the guests to take home.
The couple's first dance was to one of my faves, “Nothing Even Matters” by D'Angelo and it really does look as though for those couple of minutes, it was like they were the only two people in the room.
